Why Milestones Matter

Milestones help us understand how children grow and develop at different stages. They include things like a baby’s first smile, first steps, and the way they begin to use sounds and words. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, act, and move.

Every child develops at their own pace, so it's normal for skills to emerge at slightly different times. However, milestones offer a helpful guide for what’s typical at each age. As a parent, you know your child best. If something doesn’t feel quite right, it’s important to trust your instincts and talk to your doctor. Early support can make all the difference.

If therapy is recommended, we’re here to help. Our speech, occupational, and physical therapists are trained to support your child’s unique needs and help them thrive. Early intervention leads to the best outcomes—and we’d be honored to be part of your journey.
