We understand how stressful mealtimes can become when your child struggles with feeding or swallowing. Whether your child is an infant learning to latch, a toddler refusing foods, or an older child with medical or sensory challenges, our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) are here to help.

Our team specializes in evaluating and treating a wide range of feeding and swallowing concerns using evidence-based, compassionate, child-centered approaches.

Who We Help

We provide feeding and swallowing support for children of all ages, including those who experience:

  • Difficulty latching or coordinating suck–swallow–breathe
  • Slow or inefficient bottle or breastfeeding
  • Gagging, coughing, or choking during meals
  • Trouble moving to age-appropriate food textures
  • Food refusal or limited food variety (picky eating)
  • Sensory aversions to textures, smells, or temperatures
  • Oral-motor weakness or discoordination
  • Prolonged mealtimes
  • Difficulty chewing
  • Weight gain concerns
  • Medical or developmental conditions affecting feeding
  • Tube-feeding transitions

When to Seek Feeding or Swallowing Therapy

Consider reaching out if your child:

  • Frequently coughs or gags while eating
  • Refuses entire food groups or struggles with textures
  • Takes longer than 30 minutes to finish meals
  • Has difficulty breastfeeding or bottle feeding
  • Has a history of aspiration or pneumonia
  • Avoids eating with others
  • Relies heavily on smooth or pureed foods
  • Has difficulty chewing or managing food in their mouth

Early support can prevent long-term difficulties and reduce stress for both children and families.
