What makes your child uniquely wonderful?

Clair has an amazing personality and is always so happy. He loves slinkies and any light up toys. He is so determined during any new activity and will definitely let you know if he doesn’t like an activity.

How would you describe your child’s personality?

Clair can be very opinionated, but is adorable when he is. He can be the loudest kid in therapy, whether it be laughing or crying.

How does your child impact your family and others?

Clair has made an impact on everyone he meets. Everyone always comments on how much he smiles and how happy he is, given all the challenges he has faced and overcome.

How has Speech/Occupational and or Physical Therapy impacted your child?

We have done 2 intensive physical therapy sessions with Connections and have continued to go to weekly physical and occupational therapy sessions before and in between. We have seen a HUGE amount of progress in his ability to control his head and torso.

How have your therapists at Connections impacted your child?

His therapy providers truly care about him and what he needs in therapy and at home. They have gone above and beyond for Clair and our family, especially with a travel time over an hour one way. He has bonded with each of the therapists that have worked with him and has a unique relationship with each and every one of them.

What do you hope your child continues to grow in or experience moving forward?

We hope that with time clair will continue to integrate reflexes and make physical progress. With his physical progress has always come more independence and conductive awareness.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

We couldn’t ask for a better place to take our little guy. He has been such a hard worker and is doing so well at Connections.

From our team:

Clair is an absolute joy to work with even during the hard times that he is vocal about his dislike of an activity. We know that we can immediately turn a cry to a full giggle with a few bounces on the trampoline. He can bring so much joy in watching him learn and grow with new skills like standing and dancing as his eyes light up with pride for being able to do it. His mother is the best support and advocate for Clair, always looking into what to help, learning new exercises, and supporting him in every way she can. It has been the greatest to work with both Clair and his mother in this journey. - Shae, PT

We love being part of Clair’s journey.
