Milestones are a way to see how our kids are growing and what they are doing at a certain age. These include things like taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and even how they say words and sounds. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, act, and move.

All children develop at their own pace, so it’s impossible to tell exactly when a child will learn a given skill. But milestones give us a general idea of what to expect as a child gets older. You know your child better than anyone and if you feel like there could be a problem, you should talk to your doctor. Early intervention is best, so don’t wait.

Your doctor might prescribe therapy for your child and that’s where we come in. Speech, Occupational and Physical therapists can make a huge difference in the life of your child. We would love to help.
